I think when you've battled cancer and watched and supported your daughter through cancer, each birthday becomes more memorable. I love birthdays....not for presents or attention but to celebrate the completion of another year and the beginning of a new year. My favorite birthday celebrations are for Glenn because I love him so much and for Sarah. Sarah celebrates each year with a grateful and loving heart....I love that about Sarah. I try to do the same and follow her example! I'm 59 years old, or year's young....I'm as old as my beautiful dog, Louise....
Evelyn gave me a package of dog biscuits that she picked out at the store for my special pups and a delicate heart box for special things for safe keeping along with a handmade card. Sophie gave me a beautiful handmade card with my picture inside sitting with Sophie and a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Clayton gave me a great handmade card! All of my children send a beautiful card that reminds me of the tender memories that each one carries from their childhood. For me, knowing that my children carry those tender memories with them is glorious! To see what Glenn gave me you'll have to visit me and look at my finger.....it's exquisite! So, that's my birthday and I couldn't be more appreciative and thankful.
