The First 24 Hours HOME!

Well, most Mothers get a picture of their Marine leaving the plane, walking with his gear in full uniform and embracing his wife. What a sight of a returning Marine from Iraq. I didn't get any pictures. Glenn didn't arrive until 3:00 AM and he was in the same uniform for 72 hours, sand and all. So, dear Amanda tried to make up for my lack of pictures and sent me "the first 24 hours home" pictures. Glenn talked about his first dinner for months when he was in Iraq. He was going to Outback. So, there he is having his steak. Do I need to describe the two other pictures? No, his sons remember him just fine and they are both so excited to have him home again. Amanda? Just read her blog if you want to know how she feels about having Glenn back. She's ecstatic! When Glenn and Amanda took the boys to the car for their first set of errands as a reunited family again, Jeff told Dad "Dad, put Jack in the front and you sit next to me" Glenn said "Son, I need to drive the car". Jeff said "no you don't Daddy, Mommy drives the car just fine" It's just so good to have him home!
